Proprietary Rights in Website Content; Limited License

All content on gwu.edu, including designs, text, graphics, pictures, video, information, applications, software, music, sound and other files, and their selection and arrangement (the website content), is the property of the university or its licensors with all rights reserved. You may occasionally copy individual items of the website solely for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that you keep all copyright or other proprietary notices intact.


The university website and any university graphics, logos, designs, page headers, button icons, scripts and service names are registered trademarks or trade dress of the university in the U.S. and/or other countries.

Choice of Law/Forum Selection

GW is located in Washington, D.C. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement or any content posted to a GW website, including copies and republication thereof, whether based in contract, tort, statutory or other law, will be governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, excluding its conflicts of law provisions. You further consent to the personal jurisdiction of and exclusive venue in the federal and state courts located in and serving the District of Columbia as the legal forum for any such dispute.

Disclaimer of Warranty/Limitation of Liability

These websites and any information, products or services therein are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation, the implied warranties of merchant ability, fitness for use of a particular purpose, or noninfringement.

This Visitor Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and GW and its affiliates with respect to the subject matter herein and supersedes any and all prior or contemporaneous oral or written agreements.
