The School of Business and Public Management offers two distance-learning
graduate programs, in tourism administration and project
management.
Accelerated Master of Tourism Administration
|
The George Washington University's Master of Tourism Administration (MTA) program is one of the original graduate degrees in this area and has been operating for more than 25 years. The Accelerated Master of Tourism Administration (AMTA) program offers the same world-class graduate education as the MTA, but is packaged to meet the needs of working professionals. AMTA students will develop advanced skills in the Event Management, Destination Management, Travel Marketing, or Sport Management.

Master of Science in Project Management
The
George Washington University's Master of Science in Project Management
program offers an innovative curriculum that focuses on achieving a balance
of practice and theory in project management. The curriculum was carefully
compiled -- and is continually improved -- to include the skills that
current managers need and other professionals wish to acquire when making
the transition from team members to project managers. This program is
thus ideal for professionals and managers who want to enhance their ability
to integrate complex projects, motivate people, and achieve cost-effective
results. The Project Management program launched a distance-learning component in 1998. This program signals a pioneering effort in remote delivery of project management graduate degree classes. Qualified students can now pursue this degree from virtually any location. The distance students primarily reside outside the area, although some local residents have chosen to enroll as distance students to accommodate work and travel obligations more conveniently. For more information, visit the program's Web site.
