700 Series Course Descriptions

Printer Friendly
Version

The 700 Series represents an ongoing program of curriculum innovation. The 701 number is used to designate experimental courses taught in one department, the 721 number designates interdepartmental courses, and the 751 number is used to list courses sponsored jointly by two or more schools. Courses numbered in the 770s and 780s are taught by distinguished scholars who hold appointments as University Professors.

The 700 numbers do not indicate the level of difficulty. Courses in this series range from freshman-level offerings to classes designed for seniors and graduate students. Unless the course description indicates that there are prerequisites or that an interview with the instructor is required prior to registration, 700 Series courses are open to all interested students, subject only to their advisor's approval and the rules of the respective schools.
