Issues: History in Popular Culture

Every country, every culture, remembers its history a variety of ways.  These include literature, film, art, and animation.  While these ways of remembering one's past do not receive the attention that school textbooks often do, these mediums of remembrance are just as important in that they too act as transmitters of a country's past to each new generation.  Below are presented a sketch of some of the more well known examples pertaining to the war in the Pacific theater.
