News Update: President Obama's Visit to Asia, APEC Summit 2009, the Twentieth Anniversary of Emperor Akihito's Accession to the Throne, and Japanese War Orphans Revisiting China

The Memory and Reconciliation in the Asia-Pacific Project at the George Washington University hosted a symposium entitled, "Battles of Manila and Nanjing: Atrocity, Justice, and Reconciliation."  Speakers included: Dr.  Satoshi Nakano (Hitotsubashi University), Dr. Tokushi Kasahara (Tsuru University), Dr. Daqing Yang (GWU), and Ms. Sharon Chamberlain (PhD Candidate, GWU).  The symposium was held on Friday, November 6, 2009 from 2:30PM to 5:00PM at the Lindner Family Commons, 1957 E St. NW Suite 602 (6th Floor).
