LicensureTeacher Licensure is granted by each state and is based on three elements: Content Area Background (Content Area Preparation Forms), Teacher Examination (PRAXIS I™ & PRAXIS II™), and Professional Education Course Work. Students entering the QUEST Program are expected to have an undergraduate degree in the content area in which they wish to teach or the equivalent coursework (see Content Area Preparation Forms). Students are also expected to have completed PRAXIS I™ prior to admission to the program. Students generally take PRAXIS II™ after they have the majority of their licensure coursework behind them. The QUEST Program then provides the licensure coursework. |
