Where in the World is George Washington?

GW's namesake popped up in places all over the globe this summer.

The Alumni Weekend "Where's George?" challenge asked GW graduates to submit photographs of the Colonial cut-out in their hometowns or travel destinations. Alumni sent in about 100 photos showing George in backdrops such as the beaches of the Bahamas, the savannahs of Tanzania, the back of a Black Hawk helicopter, and plenty of places in between.

Alumni who submitted photographs were also entered in a drawing to win an iPad at Alumni Weekend 2010. All of the "Where's George?" photos can be viewed online at alumni.gwu.edu/wheresgeorge.
