On November 17, 2006 , the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit heard oral argument on the University's Petition for Review of the National Labor Relations Board's decision to uphold the election results regarding representation of the part-time faculty by Local 500 of the Service Employees International Union.   The parties will await the Court's decision, which is not required to be issued on any specific schedule.
