Michael Cornfield
Associate Research Professor of Political Management
A professor at the GSPM since 1994, he teaches the core course on strategy and message development, and a course on politics and the new media. Cornfield received his Ph.D. in political science from Harvard University. Before coming to George Washington, he taught at the University of Virginia and the College of William and Mary.

Carol C. Darr
Director, Institute for Politics, Democracy & the Internet and Associate Research Professor at GSPM

Professor Darr is an expert in the political use of the Internet and in campaign finance issues.  She has been involved in national politics for over 25 years, including serving as General Counsel to the Democratic National Committee, Acting General Counsel to the Department of Commerce, and counsel to two presidential campaigns.  At GSPM she teaches courses in the laws and ethics of politics and in Machiavelli’s political advice.
