Street Law

After classes and finals ended for the year in May, Street Law welcomed dozens of students from local elementary schools for a lesson on mooting United States v. Virginia, the case about VMI admitting women cadets. Rep. Barney Frank Keynotes Lambda Networking Event

Lambda Law and the Career Development Office co-hosted the sixth annual Lambda Networking Event this spring, once again drawing more than 100 students and practitioners. The keynote for this year's event was Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), who spoke about legislative accomplishments and future work and shared his thoughts on the LGBT movement.

SBA Hosts ABA President

GW Law students gathered in the Student Conference Center this spring for a lecture and reception with American Bar Association President William "Bill" T. Robinson III. President Robinson was welcomed by outgoing Student Bar Association (SBA) President Nick Nikic, JD '12, and incoming SBA President Mike Lueptow.

At the Gavel Club Award ceremony in April,former Dean Paul Schiff Berman and Senior Associate Dean Christopher Bracey presented Law Revue Producer Nadia Patel, JD '12, Assistant Director Veronica Surges, JD '12, and Producer Josh Prentice, JD '12, with the award for Outstanding Single Day Event. Emilie Pinkham, JD '12, was the director of Law Revue 2012.
