The International Finance Program was created to promote research on international financial markets at George Washington University. Its affiliated scholars study financial integration, financial crises and contagion, international capital flows, and market microstructure.
The IFP maintains a calendar of events throughout the academic year, in particular the weekly Macro-International seminar, which promotes discussion on the state-of-the-art research, and the International Finance Forum, which invites economists from policy institutions to discuss current policy-relevant issues in international finance. It also publishes the IFP Working Paper Series to disseminate the research of its affiliated scholars. The IFP welcomes visiting scholars from universities, central banks, and other international financial institutions.
