In the balloon of text is the first line of the famous carnival song of Lorenzo de' Medici. The song, which all Italian children are made to memorize, begins: "Quant e bella giovinezza..." or "How beautiful is youth, which so quickly flies away." Signed and numbered by the artist in pencil.
