Stephen Hawking Helps Celebrate NASA Anniversary at GW
World-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking discussed the reasons for space exploration at GW’s Jack Morton Auditorium on April 21. Titled “Why We Should Go to Space,” the talk was part of a lecture series commemorating NASA’s 50th anniversary and sponsored by the Elliott School of International Affairs’ Space Policy Institute and co-sponsored by the Lockheed Martin Corporation. Hawking was joined by his daughter Lucy, who led a dialogue on science education after his lecture.
