A School by Any Other Name

School of Business Announces New Name

Effective immediately the School of Business and Public Management will be known as the School of Business.

The change comes on the heels of a year-long Strategic Directions Initiative co-chaired by Dean Susan Phillips and Donald Hawkins, Eisenhower Professor of Tourism Policy, designed to formulate a plan for the school that will drive decision making for the next five years.

“ ‘School of Business’ more clearly defines our school’s new vision and mission,” said Phillips.

The decision also reflects the spin-off of the Department of Public Administration into the new School of Public Policy and Public Administration.
