Celebrate Washington's Birthday Feb. 22
The University is planning a party for George Washington’s 273rd birthday and you’re invited. The annual event, to be held Feb. 22 from 5:30-9:30 pm on the University Yard, will whisk you back to the 1700s. Warm yourself beside the glow of a blazing bonfire as you enjoy the whistling and rat-a-tat-tat of a fife and drum corps and, of course, all the mushy peas you can eat. No RSVP necessary, knickers and petticoats optional. For more information call 994-7129.
Also on Feb. 22, the Colonial Community initiative for employees will send out
individual Hostess cherry pies to 30 departments that responded with a
desire to participate. The pies will be packaged and delivered by the GW
Spirit Team.
