Dean Petty provides leadership over areas including student conduct, student health and well-being, campus living and residential education, fraternity and sorority life, student organizations and leadership development, military and veteran student support, and on-campus student programming.
The Division for Student Affairs engages and encourages student learning by creating and fostering communities that promote personal development. Students are offered opportunities, services, and activities that promote connectedness, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
The Student Affairs team is comprehensive, collaborative, and supports the university mission to be academically rigorous and, simultaneously, student-centered.

The Campus Living and Residential Education (CLRE) team works with campus partners to support the academic experience of residential students by providing safe, and scholarly-oriented communities. CLRE fosters inclusive residential environments where students have opportunities to grow and develop into leaders, value civility and respect, and thrive as members of the GW community.
CLRE manages all aspects of the University's three-year residency requirement and the summer housing program.
Colonial Health Center (CHC)
