Womens Studies Fourth Annual Alumni and Awards
Luncheon
This years
luncheon will include presentations by two current
graduate students; Jen Sleboda will tell us about her
work on Malaysian feminism and Anna Jeno will bring
us up to date on the implementation of the Violence
Against Women Act of 1994. In addition, the following
recipients will receive their awards:

The Womens
Studies Program invites you to a brunch to celebrate
our graduates and to meet their families and friends.
May 16 at 10:45 am~12:30 pm in the foyer outside
Funger 506. This event is directly before the
Commencement ceremony in the Smith Center so students
and faculty will be wearing their robeswhat a

Womens Progress: Perspectives on the Past,
Blueprint for the Future
The Fifth Womens
Policy Research Conference, organized by the
Institute for Womens Policy Research (IWPR) and
co-sponsored with GW, will address womens
economic and social progress (or lack thereof). The
conference will include panel sessions on such topics
as Poverty, Employment, Health, Family, Democracy,
and International Issues. For more information and
