Quick News:
Patricia Ireland, President of the National Organization for Women, spoke at GW on March 28 regarding the Emergency Action for Women's Lives that NOW sponsored on April 22.

The D.C. Clothesline Project, a display of shirts created by survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, was displayed on April 21 at the annual Take Back the Night March and Rally in observance of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. For the first time in two years, the entire 400-shirt collection was on display. The Take Back the Night Rally, held at DuPont Circle, followed the exhibit.

A New Home for the Women's Studies Program

Women's Studies New Office After years of battling with too little space, the Women's Studies Program has finally been granted our own headquarters. This summer, we will be moving into the little "White House" at 837 22nd Street, NW on the corner of I and 22nd St. Our suite in Funger has served us well but we have outgrown the space. As we implement all our new programs, we have more and more of a need for our own seminar rooms, more office and storage space. With incoming students in the Certificated Program, the Women and Law program, more undergraduate majors constantly filtering in, and our new faculty member, a joint appointment with the Psychology department, this new home comes to us just in time!  (Larger Picture)
