The Women's Center is a public space dedicated to promoting and raising awareness of women's issues at GW. It is located at the Mount Vernon campus in Post Hall.
The Center was founded in the Spring of 1999 by female students devoted to creating a comfortable space for women to speak out about various issues important to women in our community. Its mission is to promote an environment of advocacy, academia as well as uniting women to work for their causes.
In the past it has been used for various feminist

speakers including Ellie Smeal of the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance, as well as event featuring female artists and performers. Recently it has also been used by various women and women's groups for meetings and the space is welcome for use with advance notice to the coordinators of the Center.
The Women's Center invites you to come and experience the space and all that it has to offer.
