Undergrad Women’s Studies Students Traveling Abroad

First Senior Capstone Class held

The first section of the now required capstone class for women’s studies majors at GW was held this term. The course highlights a variety of Feminist works to be the catalyst for the feminist discussion each week. Students looked at videos that addressed the issues highlighted in the course, ( more)


Women’s Studies International Forum finds home at GW; Diane Bell appointed Latin and North American editor

The Women’s Studies International Forum was established in 1978. It is published 6 times a year and promotes feminist research in two multidisciplinary areas: 1) international topics in women’s studies and 2) feminist research in other disciplines. The journal has helped and continues to establish a feminist forum for discussion and debate. It is remarkable in its global reach and editorial structure wherein local teams prepare materials relevant to their regions (Europe and Middle East Regional Editor Ronit Lentin, Australia and Asia Regional Editor Bev Thiele, Britain Regional Editor Pat Mahony, African and Caribbean Regional Editors Josephine Beoku-Betts and Stanlie M. James).
