Join us for a unique, multidimensional learning experience that combines the rigor of an academic course with the practical skill-building of a leadership development program and the collaborative interaction of a professional conference. The multidisciplinary faculty of the GWU Women’s Leadership Institute provides leading-edge expertise in all major aspects of organizational leadership including strategic visioning; communication; building diverse teams; fostering high-level performance; handling conflict; and managing change. Practitioner-speakers offer pragmatic advice about organizational leadership and work-life balance.
Learning activities: The program includes classroom instruction; panel discussions; small group work; readings; self-assessments; 360-degree feedback from coworkers; case study research on women managers; reflective writing; group and individual coaching; and networking with other participants, faculty and guest speakers. These activities are designed to help each participant develop her ability to think, feel and act as a confident and effective leader in organizational and other social settings.
Who should apply: High-potential professional women on all career paths in all types of organizations. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and three or more years’ substantive work experience or permission of the lead instructor.
