Long-Term Care Courses Currently Offered Through the Wertlieb Institute

HSML 237-Management of Long Term Care Programs/Facilities:

Organization and management of health-related long-term care programs and facilities, including home health care, adult day care, nursing facilities, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living facilities, and facilities for other populations needing long-term specialty treatment. Emphasis on personal and profession skills necessary to provide a wide range of services and quality care in these settings.

HSML 255-Aging and Disability: Needs and Services:
Interdisciplinary seminar on the nature and problems of aging and disabilities, including social, psychological, biological, economic and health service needs. Introduces theory and research and explores personal attitudes and behaviors based on contact with older and/or disabled persons. Delivery of informal and social services to aged and disabled persons.
