The Wertlieb Institute
The
Institute prepares strong leaders to meet the challenges
of providing quality services to the aging and disabled.
Its mission is to be the national and international
resource for education and interdisciplinary dialogue
in long term care. The Institute gives current and
future professionals in all aspects of the long
term care field a thorough understanding of management,
finance, policy, and operational issues through
coursework and practical experience. Our location
in the heart of the nation's capital places our
students at the core of national health policy making;
our education programs emphasize strategies for
converting policy into best management practices.

Message From the Founder,
Harvey Wertlieb, MBA, FACHCA
The
Wertlieb Institute strives to attract the brightest
people to the long term care field and prepare them
to be successful leaders. Because all of the public
health and health services disciplines are combined
in one school, GW students can take advantage of
an infrastructure that promotes interdisciplinary
education. Most important, the environment at GW
is ideal for fostering professional growth. The
long term care field has many wonderful opportunities
for people with the vision, knowledge, and skills
to lead organizations and the integrity to remain
committed to the people they serve. For more than
40 years, students have been educated by GW's experienced
long term care faculty. They have excelled as strong
leaders within their organizations and in the long
term care field.
