Arielle Bernstein is a writer living in Washington, DC, She received her BA in Philosophy and English Literature from Brandeis University and received her MFA in Creative Writing from American University. Her thesis was a collection of short stories and essays, entitled, Love and Hunger. Her research interests include Metaphysics, Gender Studies, Post Modern Literature, Narratives of Diaspora and Latin American Jewish studies. She has had work published in The Millions, an online literary and culture magazine based in New York, and was named a finalist in Glimmertrain's Family Matters Short Story Contest. This past summer she was selected to attend Summer Literary Seminars in Lithuania and she looks forward to attending Summer Literary Seminars in Kenya this coming December. She is currently working on a series of mosaic essays relating to different experiences of diaspora.
