Working explores the American workday from the Monday
morning blues to the second shift blahs using the original words of
some uncommon common men and women. Twenty-six workers, including a
parking lot attendant, corporate executive, newsboy, schoolteacher,
gas man, housewife, fireman, waitress, millworker, sailor, etc., sing
and talk about their jobs, defining not only their daily round, but
their hopes and aspirations as well.

Edie is a successful photographer, but her life begins to unravel after she takes a photo of an unknown man jumping to his death from a burning building. Haunted by his ghost and the guilt of being a witness, Edie must face her photograph, or destroy it - even if that means destroying the man.
Inspired by the famous (and famously censored) photograph with the title, "The Falling Man," we are ferried back and forth between two worlds: the real-world, struggling to go on in the aftermath of a national disaster; and a mysterious netherworld, where the Living's decision to move on has terrible consequences for the Dead.
