Robert Martin - Head Instructor

Mr. Martin started Taekwon-Do in 1993 at the age of seven. During his career, he has primarily trained under Master Ron Maestas, but also under Grandmaster Charles E. Sereff and Master Kresimir Brusar. As a veteran of four national championships, he has won four gold, one silver, and three bronze medals. As a member of the USTF National Team in October 2003, he helped bring home a silver medal for Team Patterns at the International Taekwon-Do Australian Open in addition to competing in other events. Most recently, he tested for IV dan in June 2005, receiving awards for High Test Score and Best Patterns. Mr. Martin is an internationally certified instructor for Maestas Taekwon-Do in Arvada, CO, and he is the founding Head Instructor for GWTKD.

Ryan Festag - Senior Instructor

II dan (USTF-2-2620)

Littleton, CO

Mr. Festag began Taekwon-Do training in February of 1995 under Mr. Steve Berninzoni, V dan, studying primarily under Mr. David Berry, II dan. He tested for I dan black belt in September of 2001 at Grandmaster Sereff's gym in Broomfield, Colorado. He has attended two of Master Mike Winegar's USTF Instructor's seminars, and has been certified as a Class "C" Instructor by the USTF. He also attended the International Instructor's Seminar taught by Grandmaster Sereff in April of 2002. He tested II dan in June of 2003, receiving awards for both ho-sin-sul and breaking. Mr. Festag has been teaching students of all ranks at South Suburban Taekwon-Do in Littleton, CO since February 2003, and he is the founding Senior Instructor for GWTKD.
