Focus On Fall Abroad (FOFA)
Study Abroad During the Fall Semester
With an impressive number of GW undergraduates studying abroad, the Office for Study Abroad and GW Housing are pleased to continue a special study abroad program with a focus on maximizing the study abroad experience upon return to campus.
The Focus on Fall Abroad Living and Learning Community
is made up of students who study abroad during a fall semester (generally during the junior year) and return to campus during the spring semester of
the same year to live with other study abroad participants in either
New Hall or City Hall. Special residential programming in the spring
helps returning students to reflect on what they learned abroad.
Community members will also benefit from:
- Priority registration for spring classes
- Guaranteed priority housing (New Hall or City Hall) upon their return
- Option to participate in workshops, presentations by local experts,
and other special activities in the spring - $1,500 discount on tuition/room/board at any of the GW Study Centers
- $1,000 discount on tuition/room/board at CERTAIN centers run by CIEE

The new Focus on Fall Abroad Living and Learning Community, based in New Hall or City Hall, is now accepting applications for the Fall 2009/Spring 2010 year.
*Please note that you do not have to participate in FOFA in order to study abroad in the Fall semester.
