FINANCIAL AID
 
A number of graduate teaching assistantships and research assistantships are available. University fellowships are available with these appointments. Teaching assistants receive 18 semester hours of tuition credit per year in addition to a salary and a stipend. Their duties include assisting faculty with undergraduate instruction and taking recitation classes. Student loan programs are available.
 
Applying

Applications for financial assistance should be received by January 15. For admission without financial aid, deadlines are April 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester. For admission to all graduate programs the Graduate Record Examinations General Test is required. International applicants for financial aid are required to take the TOEFL.

Master's program applicants should have a background that includes multivariate calculus and linear algebra. A course in regression analysis is also required but may be taken (without master's credit) during the first semester of graduate study.
