Election Politics: Building a Campaign

Washington, DC, the nation's capital, seat of federal government, and hotbed of political debate, provides a lively context for students to learn about election politics and the fundamental concepts of a political campaign. Participants examine current theoretical approaches and state-of-the-art techniques in staging a political campaign in the context of ethical principals as applied to the conduct of public debate Guest speakers and visits to political organizations engage participants firsthand in the experience of planning and strategizing, as students stage their own political campaign simulation.
