6-week Program Faculty & Staff
The George Washington University is the largest private institution of higher education in the nation''s capital, and of institutions receiving federal dollars, ranks among the top 100 research universities in the country. GW ranks second nationally in the number of alumni appointed as U.S. ambassadors and Foreign Service officials. GW graduates are Rhodes, Marshall, Truman, and Fulbright Scholars. Our distinguished faculty includes experts in fields such as law, politics, international affairs, education, healthcare, and engineering. They are actively engaged in scholarly endeavors and research, and are leaders in shaping policy in the national and international arenas.
The Summer Scholars director and staff are experienced administrators and teachers who emphasize a high degree of personal attention in supporting student needs. Trained live-in Resident Advisors provide guidance and assistance in serving as peer advisors, program facilitators, and chaperones. The Summer Scholars staff is accessible and available to students at all times. At the beginning of the program, students will receive a "Smart Card" with all the staff''s contact information to keep with them at all times.
