Gelman purchased an institutional subscription to ARTstor. Students and faculty can access ARTstor's archives for free (just go through ALADIN to register). ARTstor is a digital library for scholars and educators, with almost a million museum-quality, high resolution images available for scholarly pursuits. They are incorporating some of the best parts of Web 2.0 (sorting, storing, sharing files on their servers; alternatives to powerpoint for displaying in the classroom; ability to zoom, pan and captures details of images as .jpg or by printing; always including the data/context with images necessary for proper attribution and understanding) with the collections of major archives (MoMA, Library of Congress, Getty Museum).

The Internet Archive is a digital library of websites and cultural artifacts, free to the general public. Their major areas are archives of websites; moving images; texts; audio; software; and education - each divided into multiple subcategories. The moving images archive, for example, draws from the Library of Congress' early film collection, animations, ephemeral films (training films and the films shown in schools in the mid-20th century), full-length feature films, cultural and academic films, and others.
