The Bachelor of Arts in an SMPA major and Master of Arts in Media and Public Affairs designed for undergraduate students in Political Communication or Journalism and Mass Communication interested in pursing an MA in Media and Public Affairs. It allows students to complete the MA degree in less time by counting 9 credits of MA work toward both the undergraduate and graduate degrees providing substantial tuition savings. It should be of interest to both Journalism and Mass Communication majors and Political Communication majors who wish to pursue the study of political and international communication in greater depth at the Master’s level. Applicants must have at least a 3.4 overall GPA and apply to the dual degree program in the second semester of the junior year.
