Background
Jason E. Friedrich is a lecturer on communication law and policy for the School of Media and Public Affairs and works in the Government Relations Office of Motorola, Inc. Friedrich represents Motorola before the Federal Communications Commission and other federal agencies on a wide range of issues including broadband policy and the deployment of advanced interactive technologies. Before joining Motorola, Friedrich practiced law in the Communications Practice Group of a national law firm.

While in law school, Friedrich was a legal intern in the Office of FCC Commissioner Ness where he briefed the commissioner on action items, and drafted the commissioner's speeches. He also interned for the FCC's Office of the Bureau Chief, Cable Services Bureau. Friedrich is a member of the New Jersey and District of Columbia Bars and also is an active member of the Federal Communications Bar Association where he has served as the Young Lawyers Committee co-chair and on the FCBA Executive Committee.
