Welcome to Face-Off to Facebook: A two-part conference to mark the 50th anniversary of the American National Exhibition in Moscow—site of the famous Nixon-Khrushchev “Kitchen Debate”—as well as explore the opportunities for U.S. public diplomacy in a Web 2.0 world.

The day-long event is hosted by the George Washington University’s Institute for Public Diplomacy and Global Communication in partnership with the Carnegie Corporation, the Walter Roberts Endowment, and the Kennan Institute.

Confirmed panelists include historian Sergei Khrushchev - son of Nikita Khrushchev; Professor Nina Khrushcheva - granddaugher of Nikita Khrushchev; William Safire - New York Times columnist and former speech writer for Richard Nixon who was present at the Kitchen Debate; Clay Shirky, the author of Here Comes Everybody; along with other leading voices in media, government, academia and in the cutting edge of new media and social networking.
