LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR:
Consider this program as your semester abroad at home. There are other experiential courses of this type, but none that combines the amount of professional experience with the level and quality of academics you expect from GW’s world-renowned School of Media and Public Affairs. And all located in the very heart of Washington DC just blocks from the White House. When you head back to your campus I guarantee you will view the media differently, understand how the game of power is played in Washington, and with sharpened writing, production, and journalistic skills. Perhaps as importantly, you will also have invaluable professional experience and be in a position to make informed decisions about possible future careers in the media. My previous students have described their semester in Washington as the most transforming experience of their academic careers. I hope you will consider joining us for this experience, and opportunity, of a lifetime. Yours Sincerely, Amos Gelb
