Semester In Washington students met this morning with Brian Walsh, Political Director of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). Walsh briefed the students on the structure and history of the Committee, and answered numerous questions on a wide range of issues. He also offered insight into some of the top contending GOP seats in the 2010 cycle.

Semester In Washington students took a tour of The White House this morning and afterwards were briefed by Liz Smith, the Deputy Cabinet Secretary. She discussed her past role as Chief of Staff to Rahm Emmanuel, her daily schedule, and the importance of public service.
