Ambassador Summer Scholarship Program
Taiwan-United States Sister Relations Alliance (TUSA) Summer Scholarship Program
Study at the university with modern interactive learning environment and culture-integrated Mandarin Chinese learning program located in one of the most new and exciting emerging nations in the world. Taiwan-United States Sister Relations Alliance (TUSA) has designed a unique program for U.S. college/university students at National Pingtung University of Education to study the Mandarin language and become familiar with Taiwanese culture. The Ambassador Summer Scholarship Program is a full scholarship program funded by the Ministry of Education on Taiwan. A stipend of $800 (USD) per month for two months (July & August) will be awarded to each scholarship recipient. The scholarship covers tuition, dormitory fees, 4 excursions and incidental insurance.

Location: National Pingtung University of Education
Application period: 1 Jan to 31 March '09
Scholarship awards: Will be announced 15 Feb. and 5 April '09
Study the Mandarin Chinese Language. *
Experience life in Taiwan. *
Study at a leading, modern university. *
Receive 5 credits upon course completion. *
A one-on-one trained study companion program. *
Visit interesting and educational places in Taiwan. *
Introduce American culture to study peers. *
Scholarship Requirements:
- Full-time student at a U.S. college or University
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have a U.S. Passport
- Have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4 point scale
- 2 Letters of Recommendation from your college/university professors
- Complete the Scholarship Application provided by TUSA.
How to Apply
Applications are on the TUSA website. Applications must be completed and submitted on-line. Application period is from January 1 to March 31.
