Sigur Center for Asian Studies
Support the Sigur Center
Gifts to the Sigur Center for Asian Studies support our students, our special events, and our research. Even more importantly, gifts to the Sigur Center help us carry out our mission — to increase the quality and broaden the scope of scholarly research and publications on Asian affairs, promote U.S.-Asian scholarly interaction and serve as the nexus for educating a new generation of students, scholars, analysts, and policymakers.
Support our students
Gifts to the Sigur Center help to improve the Summer Grant program, and support numerous other activities for students. For example, they allow us to support student research and language study in Asia.
Support our research initiatives
The Sigur Center has a world-class faculty, who enhance the Center through their research. The Sigur Center also hosts a number of visiting scholars and researchers from all over the world, who contribute to the academic life at the Center, at the Elliott School, and at the University. Contributions to the Center support both our faculty and our visiting scholars.
Support our programs and events
The Sigur Center is the most active center at the Elliott School, sponsoring and hosting over 60 events a year, ranging from our lecture series on subnational and transnational Asia to conferences on a broad range of topics. By supporting the Sigur Center, you also support these programs and events, which reach not only students and faculty, but policy-makers, business people, and academics.
In addition to gifts to the Sigur Center, you can also make a gift to support a specific campaign:
