Today these committees are the Committee for the Continuing Education on Slavic and East European Librarianship in North America, the Automated Bibliographic Control Committee and the Newsletter Committee. In 1990 the section expanded its focus with the creation of the Committee for the Preservation of Slavic Materials and Special Collections and again in 1998 with the addition of the Electronic Resources Committee.
