Minutes: The minutes of the June 2002 meeting were approved, with the correction of Soobum Kim's name.

2002 Slavic Librarians' Workshop: Janice Pilch gave a detailed report on last summer's Slavic Librarians' Workshop. A full report will be printed in the next SEES Newsletter.

Moscow Book Fair: Terri Miller gave a report on her experiences at the Moscow Book Fair in September, 2002. A full report will be printed in the next SEES Newsletter.

Continuing Education Committee's Website: Printouts of the Continuing Education Committee's website were distributed. Currently included on the website are the committee charge, its members, and information about the mentoring program. Suggestions for additions included:

  • Reports, such as the ones given by Janice and Terri
  • List of library schools
The website was created by Tatiana Barr. It was decided that Soobum Kim will work with her on the site ( http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/sees/conted.html).

Future Projects: Inna asked if anyone had any future projects to suggest. It was felt that the reports are very interesting and should continue. Patricia Thurston reported that she may go to the Frankfort Book Fair and would be happy to report on her trip, if she goes.
