  This course provides an introduction to the study of the interaction between business, government, and society in the US and other countries. The major objectives of the course are to: (1) learn about the basic principles of public policy making; (2) understand how corporate behavior is affected by governmental demands and stakeholders’ pressures; and (3) learn to formulate effective and socially responsible strategies to manage relations with governments and other groups in society

  This course focuses on the corporation in the midst of a rapidly changing social, political, economic and legal environment. It is designed to provide a fuller understanding of the interrelationships between American business and government and identify the skills required for understanding corporate external affairs. Students will be introduced to historical and contemporary issues in business and government through lectures, discussion and case/policy studies

197 Strategy Formulation and Implementation Dr. Joel Cook
 

Strategic management involves designing competitive business and corporate strategies that fit the firm’s external environment, then making managerial decisions to carry out these strategies. This capstone course will develop your skills in diagnosing external opportunities and challenges, and formulating strategies to take advantage of external forces and firm capabilities.

Prerequisite: Senior standing in BBA/BAccy, and Completion of BADM110, 115, 120, 130
