Russian Orphanage Fundraiser
February 9,2006

The Russian Student Organization of The George Washington University cordially invites you to a fundraiser on Thursday, February 9, 2006. The goal of this event is to collect funds for the Russian-based non-profit organization NAN (No to Alcoholism and Narcotics), which has several orphanages in Russia. The NAN programs strive to ensure a successful future for children of drug dependent parents. All of the money donated will help develop new facilities, improve existing programs and ameliorate the quality of life for the children in need. We hope that as part of the Russian community you will attend this fundraiser and help us invest in healthy lives for future generations of our country.

The children from the NAN orphanage have sent us drawings and crafts which will be available for auction. Traditional Russian food will be provided along with performances from dance companies and Russian musicians who have volunteered their services for this noble cause. A special thanks to 95 Blues Berry Way who will be performing. See their website here.

We hope you will join us in securing a prosperous future for Russia's youth. If you are unable to attend the fundraiser, we urge you to find out how you can still contribute to NAN by contacting us at ussr@gwu.edu.
