Wafa Abou-Zaki is Executive Director of the Research Program in Social and Organizational Learning (RPSOL), which is part of the Department of Management. As Executive Director, she works with the faculty in the School of Business and in other schools of campus as well as with the Director of RPSOL. She manages all aspects of the Visiting Scholars Program including marketing and recruiting. Wafa is the liaison between the department and the varied international entities. She designs educational visits for academic executives and scholars as well as marketing materials and brochures. She plans and executes major events and conferences, organizes speaker series. Additionally, she has managed the business office of the American Society for Cybernetics (ASC) from 1995-2000.
Wafa has a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development from The George Washington University. She is fluent in French and Arabic, and has a working knowledge of German. Wafa has used her language skills in a variety of ways including being a translator and instructor in such organizations as the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, Agency for Interanational Development, Department of State and others.
