Julius Genachowski, formerly COO of IAC

From 1997-2005, Julius Genachowski held several senior executive positions at
IAC/InterActiveCorp, including Chief of Business Operations, General Counsel,
and member of the Office of the Chairman. He joined the company shortly after it
was founded by its Chairman and CEO, Barry Diller. IAC, one of the world's
largest e-commerce and media companies, has owned and operated interactive
businesses including Expedia,
Hotels.com, Ticketmaster, Home Shopping Network, LendingTree, Citysearch,
Match.com, and Evite as well as traditional media companies such as USA
Network, Sci Fi Channel and USA Films. Julius has also worked in government --
as Chief Counsel to the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission and on
the staffs of Senator (then Congressman) Charles E. Schumer and the Select
Committee Investigating the Iran-Contra Affair. Julius is a graduate of Harvard
Law School and Columbia College. He now lives in Washington, DC. He will begin
with some background on his career and then take questions.
