Study Abroad
Here at RGSLL, we believe that one of the best ways to learn a language is to spend time in countries where the language is spoken. GW is fortunate enough to have partnerships with international programs not only in Spain, but also in Spanish-speaking countries around the world.
Your first step is to contact the GW Study Abroad Office. Their staff coordinates programs in over 40 countries that allow more than 1,000 GW students the opportunity to go overseas each year.
After deciding on the program and courses you want, you need to be sure that those courses will transfer to the GW credits you need. To do this, you will need a Course Approval Form and the syllabi for the courses you wish to take. If you are currently a Spanish major or minor, take this information to your advisor. If you are not a Spanish major or minor, please consult the list of Spanish study abroad advisors below. NOTE: You must receive approval for your courses BEFORE you go abroad. Also note that many of our advisors do not teach over the summer. It is important that you make any appointments before the end of the spring semeseter, or instead wait until the start of the fall.
