Majors and Minors

The Italian program offers a Minor in Italian Language and Literature. The minor requirements are as follows:

  1. Italian languages courses up to and including the third year (ITAL 001, 002, 003, 004, 009, and 010).
  2. Select Italian literature courses: ITAL 030, 053, 054, 120, and 131.

Our department does not currently offer a B.A. in Italian Language and Literature. If you are interested in pursuing an interdisciplinary Italian major based around your interests, you must receive approval from the dean’s office. Please contact Lynn Westwater for more information. Please note that our advisors do not teach over the summer. It is important that you make any appointments before the end of the spring semeseter, or instead wait until the start of the fall.
