Greetings,

Welcome! The residents and faculty of The George Washington University OBGYN Residency Program in Washington, DC are looking forward to meeting you on the campus during our December and January interviews for positions in the Class of 2013.

The Program has 40 residents, 10 in each of the 4 classes who rotate to the Program's 3 affiliated sites: The George Washington University Hospital, Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia, and Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland.

During your interview on campus and at Inova Fairfax Hospital you will learn details about the rotations at our 3 sites. Areas of learning/training in addition to basic obstetrics and gynecology, include:

    1. Minimally invasive surgery - hysteroscopy and laparoscopy
    2. Vaginal Ultrasound / Genetics
    3. Abortion techniques
    4. Gynecologic Oncology
    5. Pathology
    6. Intensive Care Unit
    7. Breast Disease
    8. Research
    9. Teaching skills

This Program is very fortunate to have 4 classes of interesting and dedicated residents. They've graduated from public and private medical schools around the country and beyond. They are a focused and hardworking group which enjoys working and playing together. The class of 2008 have taken positions in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Connecticut, Louisiana, and California.

(Inclusion of these documents is an institutional requirement.)
