Foundation Relations Program at The George Washington University The foundation Relations Program pursues grants from foundations. Staff works closely with the Office of Vice President for Research and Grants and Accounting Services to coordinate proposals through a Research Services Coordinator as required by GW's Research Contracts and Grants Definition Policy. Foundations Relations personnel are available to help faculty and staff with the development of their proposal and submission, including assisting with the identification of potential funding sources, transforming program ideas into proposals to be submitted through a Research Service Coordinator in the Office of the Vice President for Research providing stewardship assistance for existing grants, and other support as necessary. The Foundation Relations Program also initiates approaches to the foundation prospects acts as a liaison with the foundation program officers, acknowledges all foundation grants received by the University, works with the faculty and staff to facilitate adherence to grant reporting requirements and acts as central office for coordination of approaches to foundations. The program acts as a clearing house for all proposals to private foundations and the approval of the program should be sought prior to submission. The foundation Relations Program is another source of expertise for faculty and staff to utilize along with ensuring that all programs seeking funding from external sources are discussed with a Research Service Coordinator in the Office of Vice President for Research. If you are thinking about submitting a proposal please contact Amy Butler, Director of Foundation Relations or Mallory Johnson Assistant Director of Foundation Relations.
