University Parking

Commuter students who wish to obtain a parking decal may visit the Parking Office during regular office hours, 8:00 am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Evening students may register for their decals in the University Bookstore, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 pm until closing or in the Parking Office during regular hours. Parking decals are issued each semester to registered students upon presentation of a GWorld card and a valid vehicle registration. The grace period for commuter students is the first two weeks of class (Fall semester only). In order to pay student parking rates, pre-paid student tickets must be purchased for use as payment. Student pre-paid tickets may be purchased in the Marvin Center at the Ticket Master Office. In garage locations, tickets must be presented when exiting. Cash is not accepted as payment for student parking fees. Visitor fees will be due if pre-paid tickets are not presented or if improper entrances are used.

Overnight parking information is available in the Parking Office. Students who will be leaving their cars overnight must purchase the proper overnight decal as soon as they arrive on campus. Motorcycle decals must be purchased at the beginning of each semester. Writing in the Disciplines (WID) Courses

Students enrolled in the new University Writing Program are required to complete two WID (Writing in the Disciplines) courses before graduation.  Please note, however, that students must successfully complete UW20 BEFORE enrolling in a WID course.  Moreover, many WID courses have disciplinary PREREQUISITES as well.  Please consult with your advisor and review the departmental information in the University Bulletin to determine whether a particular WID course has prerequisites in addition to UW20.

A complete list, with descriptions, of a semester's WID courses is available online. Those freshmen and sophomores who have completed or are currently enrolled in a UW20 course should review the course descriptions online. Check the web site for instructions about how to register for a WID course prior to the early registration period.
