Individuals who wish to take a course on the main campus of GW without entering a degree program may apply online for non-degree admission through the Office of University Students, and subsequently register online for courses. The Office of University Students requires a $25 application fee for all new, non-degree students.  This fee is waived for previous GW students or faculty/staff with tuition benefits. All non-degree students should complete the online application. Please call the Office of University Students at 202-994-1972 if you have any questions.

Note: Consortium students may not register in this manner. Click here for information on Consortium registration.

In general, to be admitted you must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or international student residing in the U.S. on an appropriate visa. You must also be in good academic standing if enrolled at another college or university.

In addition, non-degree seeking international students must complete the online application process as noted above and contact the Office of University Students to submit additional required documentation.
